i will never forget where i was, what i was doing, and all the men, women, and children who were impacted that day and since, not just here, but around the world. i am originally from NY, and have friends and relatives who live and work in that area, a couple who were working that day in the towers, as well as police officers and firemen of NYC.
i still can’t watch the footage. this will always be a day of mourning for me.
Will we ever know the absolute truth? I doubt it.
I remember that day so well. The kids were let out from school early … after they showed them the newscast. What a heavy day, having to answer questions of this insane thing happening.
I hope this does not sound insensative, I am certainly thankful to all the heros (by occupation or not) who either lost thier lives or assisted on that day. However, I wonder if we, the public, are not given all the answers becuase of the fear and chaos it might cause????
To me, it is like knowing the intimate details of how a loved one was brutily murdered. Are those thoughts that we need in our minds?
I guess I never thought about it that way. I just don’t like the feeling of the government lying or covering up anything, as they tend to do.
I’ve never gotten over this day. It’s changed me forever.
